Been interested for many years about CLI & cisco gear, right now I have a Cisco 1811 & a Cisco 2960 24 port 10/100 switch.
The goal is to configure the 1811, as a router then configure the switch with vlans and different subnets and have them rout properly with permissions to talk to each vlan and some not to talk.
Going to be TONS of learning and lots of cli, but hey, I won’t learn, unless I set a goal and try to accomplish it.
Both plugged in with ethernet & console cable.
I was looking up how to do vlans properly on a cisco sg200 and stumbled across a post you made… http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1651122 . Do you have the details on how you made it work?
I have SonicWall TZ210 (latest firmware) configured with VLANs 2, 3, 4, 5 (X0:V2, X0:V3, X0:V4, X0:V5).
I have SG200 with VLANs 1 (default), 2, 3, 4, 5.
If port 40 of the SG200 is to act as the single link for all VLANs from the switch to the SonicWall and vice versa, how should port 40 be configured? As General, 1UP, 2T, 3T, 4T, 5T?
are you able to show me a few screen shots ?
